Contribute 2 ETH from Nouns DAO to an existing open-source bounty challenging builders to create a useful AI research / info lookup app that runs entirely offline on Android.
What’s happening
On September 18, I launched a bounty on poidh with an initial $50 contribution, inspired by Vitalik’s request for a casual offline mobile research tool that could approach the usefulness of internet search + frontier AI.
Since launch:
- the bounty has attracted multiple independent contributors
- multiple open-source Android implementations are being built
- working submissions are already available
- Vitalik has publicly tested the apps, shared feedback on them, and contributed 1 ETH directly to the bounty

Proposal
Contribute 2 ETH from Nouns DAO directly to the existing bounty prize pool.
This does not create a separate Nouns-specific competition or require Nouns to operate or judge the bounty. It simply increases the incentive for builders working on an open-source technical problem that is already attracting serious participation.
Why Nouns
This is an opportunity for Nouns to support open-source experimentation that is already producing working software and attracting direct participation from the person whose original request inspired the bounty.
Nouns would not need to run or judge a separate program. The DAO would simply add incentive to an existing permissionless competition where submissions are published openly on GitHub and anyone can participate.
Transaction
Contribute 2 ETH directly from Nouns DAO to the existing poidh bounty on Ethereum mainnet.
poidh’s contracts are open source and immutable.
Mainnet contract:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xE731dFadBFf20542E10D09D26Fc71445C70d4232
Funds contributed to the bounty remain subject to poidh’s onchain bounty rules.
The intended winner is a submission that Vitalik publicly confirms meets the bar described in his original post.
If no submission has been confirmed by October 31st, 2026, the bounty creator (me) and contributors may either:
1 transaction · Contribute 2 ETH to open bounty #31 on the poidh bounty contract
1Contribute 2 ETH to open bounty #31 on the poidh bounty contract− 2 ETHOut
Deposits the attached ETH into the bounty and records the treasury's contribution. The contract can revert if the bounty is closed or voting is active. Any later refund requires a separate withdrawal; this estimate counts the full contribution.

Priced portionTreasuryAnnual staking yield
Spending is priced the same way the Coffer prices the treasury: today's prices, today's balances. Moving money between the DAO's own wallets, setting approval limits and swapping one asset for another do not count as spending. NFTs and calls whose effect is unknown are left unpriced.
The yearly staking yield takes what is staked right now at its current rate for one year. It leaves out auction income, price moves and any change to the balances or rates.
Action 1: A current ETH price is unavailable.
A current treasury and staking-yield benchmark is unavailable.

How a proposal moves through the governor
The proposer can still edit for a short while after posting. Then it waits for voting to open. Voting runs for a set number of days. If the result flips near the end, an objection period opens where only Against votes are allowed.
To pass, a proposal needs two things at the close: at least as many For votes as the quorum, and more For than Against. The quorum is not fixed. It starts at a minimum and rises with every Against vote, up to a cap, so a contested proposal needs more support than a quiet one.
A passed proposal waits in a timelock, then anyone can execute it until its grace period runs out. The proposer can cancel any time before that. The vetoer can veto a malicious one.
